Thanks to the hard work of our acclaimed Bar and Potation Manager, Sean Muldoon, The Merchant Hotel has managed to acquire an extremely rare bottle of 17 year old Wray and Nephew Rum – one of the key ingredients of the original Mai Tai cocktail. Given the singular rarity of this product, the cocktail produced with it would need to retail at £750. Those lucky enough to sample this cocktail have confirmed that it was worth every penny!

Connoisseurs Club
The Connoisseurs Club is a beverage programme aimed at encouraging the trial of unfamiliar spirits. It is a club that one can safely say is both informative and entertaining! Designed to be educational both for people involved in the hospitality industry and those interested parties outside of the industry.
